Explore Tahoe

Things To Do

We can’t wait for you to explore our home! Since most of you are traveling to celebrate with us, we want to share some of our favorite spots so you can experience Tahoe like a local. Whether you're looking for a winter adventure, cozy après-ski vibes, or just soaking in the stunning lake views, we've got you covered.

Winter Activities

If you are staying at PlumpJack Inn, Palisades Tahoe (formerly Squaw Valley) is right outside your door. It is one of the best resorts in the country, with breathtaking views, great terrain, and lots of fun après spots.

Skiing + Snowboarding: If we have snow, go for a few laps at Palisades and Alpine Meadows. Both resorts are on the Ikon pass and you can rent gear in Olympic Village. Looking to go in the backcountry? We can send you some recommendations.

Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing: Tahoe City’s network of trails and snowshoeing routes makes it a haven for those who prefer a quieter, more remote experience. You can explore places like the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park, Everline Resort, or Paige Meadows for beautiful winter excursions.

Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram: This panoramic 10-minute ride soars above the iconic Tram Face, offering stunning mountain vistas and beautiful views of Lake Tahoe itself, ending at Palisades Tahoe's High Camp. High Camp is located at 8,200 feet above sea level. Book tickets here.

Snowmobiling in Tahoe National Forest: Take a guided snowmobile tour through the stunning backcountry. Check out Lake Tahoe Snowmobiling or Coldstream Adventures for rentals and tours.
